I don't know very much about politics. When Belinda crossed over from conservative to Liberal, I didn't really care. I knew that her stances on many issues were in line with the liberal views.

Now that Emerson has become a Conservative I am finding myself far more condemning. Mostly because I know that a lot of people voted for liberals out of fear of a Conservative government.

So this morning I am pondering my hypocrisy as I try and focus on my homework. But I think I have realized that to switch parties is really a betrayal of the people that voted for you, because in a federal election people are not just voting for you they are voting for the next PM.

sigh.

Read an interesting article shortly after the election, it pointed out that most Canadians voted left, its just that the Canadian left is splintered and needs to consolidate the way the right did in order to really have any real power. It makes sense but I don't really see the Bloc dismanteling anytime soon.
