What a weekend. So I went to the grape stomp on saturday with amber and we got all prepared. I was of course the paper bag princess, dragon, paper bag and all. Amber was Cruella DeVille. The barrels were really small and we didn't get the foot protection gear that we had been promised. So at first Amber and I walked around ina circle trying to circulate the smushed grapes... it didn't work and we were way behind. So I started jamming the pulp up against the mesh, which by the way was similar to a cheese grater. I got really into it, apparently I was the messiest participant. I had grape bits all over my hair and my face, and everywhere! I didn't realize I was bleeding until we stopped. When I stepped out of the bucket, I noticed I was leaking from the feet. Anyway we won teh first round but lost the second. I was ok with that though because my feet got grated on the mesh and I am hobbeling around like an invalid. It was a great day and I can't wait for next year, loads of fun costumes, and intersting people.
